Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality.
Moving on from our 1st project which was based on Architectural Diagraming. Our 2nd project introduces us students to the process of Site Analysis. Through mehodologies such as physical site visits and local interviewing.
The brief for this project requested us to design an Observation Deck in a lake centred Site in Taman Hiasan, Shah Alam Malaysia. We were also asked to explore the various possible building materiality for our observation deck to fit our design intention as much as possible.

Project 2 for me personally was quite a steep learning curve as it prioritized the many considerations of a specific site analysis and a design to fit around said site. It was a lot to ponder about compared to the project in semester 1 where the site was a lot bigger. It certainly widen my view towards the preperation stage of an Architectural project.
